Do you remember why you are working out?

Do you recall what brought you to the gym for the first time?

Take a moment to go back think about that time.

The reason I'm asking you to do this is that I won't be posting nearly as frequently to remind you to get moving until after the wedding.

Although by now you have really started to see some success, few pounds dropped off, a little stronger at the workouts. You should be feeling like you have some real momentum.

There haven't been enough posts on this blog: so I want to ask you; What do you want to hear about, and I want to hear how you are doing.

If you run into a tough spot make a post.

If have question make a post.

We are trying to build an accountability community here to help you get the best of your program.

I will be back with you soon to post the latest results, and I will look forward to hearing about your success.

To Your Success!

Hey Brandon,

It was good for me to stop and think about why I work out with you. The reason I first came to the gym was simply disgust with how I had let my body get so out of shape. I was concerned for my health (I'm in my 50's), and wanted to be more responsible for myself than for my family. It also seemed like the more I did for them, the less I did for myself. It was so hard to admit that I was so out of shape. Now, almost 2 years later, I am in better cardio shape than my 23 year old daughter! I guess I keep working out because I am so afraid to let myself go again. It's too easy to make excuses & too hard to get it back. I'm glad you are doing this contest, because I have felt more accountable to both you and myself, knowing that each Monday I will weigh in and measure up! (or hopefully, down...)
I think I am learning to just keep plugging through times of life when I feel overwhelmed or stressed by outside factors. There was definitly a time when I would simply cancel a workout if something "better" came up, or if I just didn't feel like it. Now, I feel accountable not only to you, but mostly to myself. I tell myself that it's "just one hour out of my life". Almost always, I walk away from the workout proud that I did it; proud that I didn't succumb to lame excuses. I plan to be a fit and healthy grandma when our new little baby arrives this summer! I want to be able to run and play and NOT be the stereotypical pudgy grandma; the only pudgy I want to see is on Emily's little baby!
Thanks for making me healthier......Jo

brandon,
i love to workout because it makes me feel better and takes me to my happy place. when other things in life aren't going so well, i go to the gym and that all goes away for a while. but i'm always looking for different ways to exercise and get results. i like variety and adding new exercises to my workouts. i love reading your blog daily and look forward to what you share. keep sharing new exercises. hopefully i can get back out to see you soon and maybe figure out when we could work out together. thanks again and for your inspiration. talk to you soon......anne
